We are currently loosely based in the South west near Salisbury. I say loosely because we are still waiting to see where the majority of the musicians who join us will be from. The current majority of our applicants come from that area within a 30 mile radius of Salisbury give or take. In all likelihood our first orchestra will be based in that area, probably with our first few rehearsals in the village of Coombe Bissett. It is seemingly the most central option, with a very good village hall and great parking.
However we are seeing a growing number of musicians applying who come from north of the midlands. In terms of regular rehearsals (which is part of the whole point of the orchestra) we may have to start a second orchestra somewhere else, northwards… time will tell.
